1992

Foundation

Establishment of TECHRA with production of raw materials for the milling and bakery industries.

1994

First improvers in Bulgaria

Industrial production of the first flour quality improvers in Bulgaria, including enhancers and mixes for bread and bakery products.

1996

Classic and wholegrain flours

New production of classic flours with the implementation of multiple innovative and technological solutions in the mill. Construction of a dedicated installation for wholegrain flours from wheat, rye, rice, barley, and more.

2002

“Volio” emulsion installation

Commissioning of a production line for a water–oil emulsion – “Volio”, used for greasing baking trays and oven belts as a substitute for sunflower oil.

2005

Partnership with IREKS

Start of partnership with the German IREKS Group as an official distributor for Bulgaria.

2007

Organic certification

The first Bulgarian mill certified for the production and trade of organic products.

2009

Gluten-free products

Expansion of production and product range for gluten-free products.

2010

Extruded flours

New production line for extruded flours made from wheat, corn, chickpeas, beans, lentils, and more.

2012

Laboratory

Establishment of a high-tech laboratory equipped with modern instrumentation.

2013

Liquid and dry sourdoughs

Launch of new production for liquid and dry sourdoughs.

2014

Automated packaging line

Commissioning of a fully automated packaging line for ready flour mixes and flours in 0.5 kg and 1 kg packages.

2018

Training and demonstration center

Construction of a new building – a Training and Demonstration Center.

2021

Products with nutritional and health claims

Expansion of the product range: keto, gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, and more.

2022

New assortment – culinary products

Introduction of a series of culinary products.

2023

Ice cream ingredients

Start of production and offering of raw materials for ice cream.

About Techra

TEHRA is a Bulgarian company established in 1992 with a rich history and traditions. The company is a leading Bulgarian manufacturer of raw materials, serving the food industry, including the milling, bread production, and confectionery sectors.

The main activities of the company are production and trade of:
– traditional, wholegrain, specialized and hydrothermal flours
– correctors and improvers
– mixes and toppings for bread and bakery products
– releasing agents for trays and baking forms
– ready-to-use mixes for home preparation of bread and confectionery products

Production

Production is carried out in our own production facility, located in the beautiful mountain region around the village of Lomets, Troyan municipality, with modern equipment, mechanized and automated technological processes.

The company’s clients are enterprises from the milling industry, bread production, confectionery, as well as the HORECA sector, boutique bakeries and households.

In partnership with the German company IREKS, TEHRA offers high-quality products, training and seminars – both in its own Training and Demonstration Center and on-site at the client’s location.

TEHRA’s innovation department works to create new products and original recipes in accordance with international and local market trends. TEHRA also has a team of specialists who present, consult and work to satisfy the needs of all clients with dedication and care for their future market development.
